Well, it is finished!
Actually, the magazine has been done for several hours now, but I have been having fun updating this website (features -- yay!) and writing my self-evaluation.
I have temporarily abandoned the powerpoint. Why? Because the program is not working to put it simply. I think I will take my time to create a powerpoint for the presentation. I don't think my entire project will suffer for it.
Because seriously -- a magazine and a website beat a powerpoint or poster anyday. It just isn't going to get done. I have priorities -- hours upon hours invested in these other things. So, no powerpoint for today.
But my magazine is wonderful! and there is substance to this site now! Huzzah!
Next step: presentation, and getting this site on the map!
Thank you all for participating in the poll! Batman wins. I appreciate you all helping me like this.
Enjoy the improvements!

So, I have switched directions in the feature part of my magazine, luckily, in a way that makes a lot more sense (I can't believe it took me this long). So, now the feature will be all about Byron's life story. I will be writing my own biography of him (not too long, mind you) and will include various 'Did you Know?' bits and some random 'Byronecdotes' (little side stories that I found entertaining).
So, be on the look out for that, because I will be including the same on this site - yay! Most likely it will be uploaded piece by piece, not all at once, or you would all have to wait a while....
But things are going smoothly, I just hope I have enough time!
New stories include:

Things are really starting to gel in creating the magazine. Story ideas are coming together, and page ideas are springing up constantly. I am starting to put together outlines for stories and pages, and I have all the ads I will need. The goal for this week -- write the feature article at least. I hope to also get it designed on the page as well. The following weeks are going to be a flurry of progress -- the lull in status updates will cease, and expect updates constantly.
I have redone entirely the cover for the magazine, and I must say that I am rather pleased with how it turned out. One draft of it can be seen in the Photo Gallery.
Research is going swimmingly -- quotes are popping up like daisies, and additions to stories are flowing like water.
At this moment, there are 20 pages to my magazine, many of which are the ads, and I am starting to acquire all the pictures I will be using for putting together various pages.
For the feature article, I will be writing about the Byronic Hero, and will have multiple pages devoted to the various character types associated with said hero: The Vampyres, The Movie Icons, The Rock Stars, The Lovers, The Tormented, and so on. (See disclaimer below).
The real progress to be seen is on this site -- pages have been updated, additions have been made, and fun things are to be found. Enjoy!
*Recognize that all these ideas are tentative and can (and will) change in an instant should the occasion arise (and I expect it to, knowing me).

So far, so good. I have been working on ads lately, thinking of what relates to Byron, and adapting those ideas to the magazine. I must have at least 10 ads so far, and the cover for the magazine is finished as well (though that page is subject to change at any time).
I have been doing my best to create a variety of ads for the magazine, so they do not all revolve around the same thing. Some are easy to see the relation to Byron, others are a little more ambiguous. But I am rather pleased with all of them at this point.
Look on the Photo Gallery to see the cover page (as is now) and a couple examples of ads.
